I jerked my USB Sound Card by mistake and it fried my laptop(Seriously), how do I fix it?

I was just watching a show on my laptop and I moved a tiny bit with the ear phones in my ears and it jerked the sound card a bit, and then a little surge happend and my laptop shut off, now it wont turn on, no matter what I do, I've tried everything to start it but it wont work, will I need to take it to a computer shop? How much would it cost to get it fixed... because I'm planning to build a computer anyway, but I want my movies, and stuff back.
