I ran from the police.... Are they still looking for me?

Exactly on week ago i was blackout drunk and crashed my car into a small tree, thankfully no one was hurt. However, because i was drunk i ran away.....here is where it gets complicated... My wife and I got into an argument back in november and the judge against my wife's and i's wishes put a no contact oder between us....no the one thing i cherish is my family, so you can imagine how we took this news. Going against court Oder's, my wife and i continued our life like nothing happen. now fast forward to the crash. I ran because i was drinking and also because they would have arrested me for being in contact with her. Later i find out that they had 24 officers and six dogs after me, but i lucked out and they never found me... since then they have showed up twice to my house looking for me....i do know that they can't prove i was driving the car when it crashed, but what im wondering is are they looking to catch my wife and i together... will they ever stop looking for me? also i checked both the county's sherrif's office and the city police to see if i had a warrant out for my arrest and they both said i didn't......should i believe them???
