Nursing school help...?

Hello. Im a first year nursing student and things just got a bit difficult. I'm taking med surge 2 and I'm having trouble answering test questions. My thing is that I know the information but I'm having trouble applying it to different situations. It seems that these questions have to be answered a specific way. Just like the NCLEX I suppose. Just wondering if any nurses out there have some advice on some good nursing test taking strategies. Thanks.
