The 24A is fine but for extra protection go for the 30A, as long as the power circuit, is able to handle 30A.
I have an APC surge protector that is making a loud high pitched noise?
I'm alone at work and no one (naturally) is answering their phone. Here at my workplace we have an APC surge protector that is making a loud constant high pitched noise. It's been going on for over 9 hours said the previous shift before me. I've already looked through forums and no one seems to know what to do about it. I've tried re-powering, but the noise instantly comes back on. Any suggestions? I dont know anything about surge protectors, but it's a big black box that has APC Back-UPS ES 500 Surge Protection written on it. There is a green light that that is blinking on it too. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Inexpensive power conditioners?
Looking for advice. I do have an expensive power conditioner for my AV equipment, but it never occurred to me to use one on my pellet stove until an ice storm ruined the $250 control board due to the fluctuating power. I need at 300w conditioner. Now I am worried about the TV's and other electronics in the house, even through they are on surge protectors. Nitrous Oxide is dangerous so make sure it is properly hooked up. Also you should never put nitrous on a stock motor, reason being is most factory motors cannot handle the pressure of the nitrous so therefore your risk blowing up your engine. For the material you could try some adhesive material like they use for headliners. I would try the adhesive because its the cheapest.

DUI Arrest Rights Violated?
I was arrested for a DUI last night. I'm only 18 so i'm not legally allowed to have any alcohol in my system and i only had about 5 beers in my system. I passed all of the field sobriety tests but i did not pass the breathalyzer or blood test. I asked them what number I blew multiple times but i was never told. So my question is are they required to tell me what my BAC is? because no one told me the entire night and I still don't know. Also are they required to read you your Miranda (spelling?) What are the odds a probation officer will allow me to leave the state to visit an immediate family member in an active duty armed service position prior to deployment? Is it possible to use Sharepod with an iPod that is formated with a Mac and put the Mac formated iPod onto aPC?
I have an iPod that is formated for a Mac, i would like to use Sharepod that is installed on my PC, would plugging in an iPod formatted for a Mac into a PC mess anything up? would i be able to back up my songs that were put onto my iPod through a Mac onto my PC?

Hello. I was trying to fix my laptop charger as the cod was frayed. I thought the power strip was off but the kids had tuned it on the cord strip. I Tied to connect the two frayed ends and it started to spark so I threw it down immediately and then my heart was racing. Do you think I need to go to ER or am I mst likely okay?
Outlet Overload Problem?
Lots of people have a computer, monitor, router, and inkjet printer on the same power strip - I do myself with no problems. All of them together should be no where near the capacity of a normal outlet. A lazer printer might be a different story though since most of them use a fair amount of power while printing. I suspect the old automatic voltage regulator might be causing the problem. I've heard before that some items don't behave properly when connected through a surge protector and that may be the culprit. I'd try removing that device and see if the flickering lights go out.

Car jerks when in park?
I have a 2000 dodge neon. A couple of days ago when u started it, it would idle really high for a min and then when it would idle down it would like go blug blug (surge) and do that til put in drive once in drive and sitting still it would be ok but once u got going down the road it would start to jerk the whole car. Want Computer To Use Less Power?
You might want to have an electrician check your wall wiring out - maybe you live in an old creaky house with questionable wiring. Right now, I run two full desktop computers at the same time, and a space heater that sucks down electricity like its going out of style on a simple 20 AMP circuit, series in line, so they are all feeding off the same 20 AMPS. So if that says anything to you...I don't think buying an UPS or an AVR is going to change anything - I think its your internal wiring in the house that needs to be looked at. If it is that fragile and cannot handle a single desktop, you might be risking a fire if your mains won't kick out.

I received a citation for underage drinking at my college in PA, and blew a 0.115 into the breathalyzer. Instead of arresting me, the cop looked at my license and told me to expect a ticket in the mail. However, it has been almost 2 weeks and nothing is in my mailbox. I dont feel in love anymore..what to do?

I can't stand to be around my brother at all. I don't like him to be around my son at all. He is 38 years old no job, no car, no house, and no money. He feeds off of other people to get by. He uses my parents to make them feel sorry for him. He has a son whom he doesn't even call or go see. Because of this my nephew's mother who is not mentally stable has done things to him which she has been arrested for. He has been called to court for custody to get him he will not go. About two years ago i had my jaw broken in an attack, i was left with an open bite, i want to fix it now?
before the attack i had no open bite, my teeth were normal, had braces as a teenager and all that, after the attack i had surgery , a plate put in and my jaw wired for 4-6 weeks as it was fractured in 2 places, after it i was left with an open bite, teeth come together at th back fine but there is a gap at the front between my bottom and top teeth. braces would be long and expensive and the orthodontist gave no promises it would work, the surgeon who originally operated, and has a good reputation said just leave it and move on , but recently i had a check up and another surgeon asked me about it and i told him how the other surgeon didn't advocate it and was of the mentality was to much hassle and the gap wasn't that big etc. the 2nd surgeon said no it wasn't a big deal and would take a couple of months maybe to heal up etc. i don't know what to do , has anyone any advice, if i knew it would work or has worked for someone that would help. also the gap is about 2-3 cm, also the surge would be free through my health insurance ,thanks

One side gets the no contact order while the other gets arrested. Domestic violence charges are Felonies and sometimes can get plead down to misdemeanor harassment charges based upon the evidence at trial. Good luck and tell her that no contact means no contact. If she is harassed or threatened by him at any time tell her to report that immediately to the police so they have a record of it.

Starting a dispute on Ebay.?
So I bought an item on Ebay. The seller offered free 24hr delivery and the item should have arrived within 48hrs after payment received. Paid the monday night and still haven't received anything one week after payment! First the seller said hee used APC and then no, he used Royal mail. He said he sent it royal mail signed for, but I'm not sure if that's a 24hr service. It was very hard to get him to reply and I've asked for the tracking number, but he only sent me a payment receipt from the post office. It's only the receipt and it does not state what service was used, tracking no or the postcode it was sent to. disconnect and reconnect video and power cables to monitor. Reset the monitor settings to default on the monitor itself. Notice if the video problems only occur in windows, if they do, then the monitor or the has been damaged. Try your monitor with a friend's computer to make sure it is not the gpu. Replace monitor if damaged and consider investing in an UPS battery backup that exceeds your PC watt rating.

Is it illegal to provide a place to have sex?
Some people are not able to have sex at home, and sometimes hotels are expensive. Would it be illegal to have a property that pay to rent for say, 1 hour to perform adult acts? Now I'm not saying prostitution, as the owner would not supply the call girls. Instead there would be an environment to have said relations. For instance: a lot of people would like to become part of the "Mile High Club," but dont want to risk the danger of getting arrested. So said owner provides a private craft, or helicopter to allow them to do so without risk. Is it illegal?

So I thought I had missed my ovulation window so I stopped using my ovulation tests. I started having mittelschmerz yesterday morning and it just got worse throughout the day and I didn't think twice about it...so it's about 6pm and its the worst of that day and my husband said to take an ovulation test. So for the heck of it I did and its a smiley face!!!! So we BD a half hour later. I also used PreSeed which I heard can be useful in getting pregnant since it mimics CM. I still had mittelschmerz throughtout the evening but not nearly as bad as it was and this morning I took another ovulation test to see if I still had a LH Surge and it was negative and I feel tender around my abdomen but really nothing that bad...just maybe a twinge? Can conception still have occured if I was a few hours away from ovulation? I know the ovulation test I used (ClearBlue Easy Digital) said that when you have a positive, it means you'll be ovulating in 24-36 hours. I just want to know if we could have concieved or if I was too close to ovulation for anything to occur.

I'm really confused so here's the deal. I passed the UPCAT with a course of Computer Science in UP Manila. But my mom and relatives say that ComSci is hard especially in UP. Information Technology is my target course, by the way. So I plan to take entrance exams in Mapua and Asia Pacific College. This time, my dad says that it's also hard in Mapua and it is also quarterm. No idea about APC yet. So what do you think? Answers, suggestions and comments are very much appreciated. ^^

In a bit of a complicated situation and it's a pretty long story. I met this girl back in late August of last?
year and fell in love with her the moment I saw her. She was about to leave and I couldn't just let her go without getting to know who she was, so I approached her and we ended up talking for a few hours. I got her number at the end of the night but didn't build up the courage to talk to her again until a month later. We started to hang out, meet up at the bar for drinks mostly. But our chemistry was great and we would always end up talking and hanging out for hours. We weren't exclusive and had never been on an actual date, but talked on a regular basis. Then in November I got arrested for an OWI and told her about it and she stopped talking to me after that. So we stopped talking for a month but I couldn't stop thinking about her and hit her up again in early December. And again we started to hang out again, more frequently this time. A few nights ago, she had asked me what exactly our relationship was; and I didn't give her a clear cut answer. Basically I told her that we should just let things play out as they are now and if our relationship becomes more than what it already is then we'll go from there. She also went on to tell me that she knows that she is going to end up hurting me and isn't looking to date anyone right now, but at the same time is attracted to me like hardcore, her words, not mine. Anyways, we're going out on Valentine's Day, I've already made reservations at a restaurant and thought out something to say to her in hopes of making her feel special, cards are played out and lame I think. I don't want to tell her how I truly feel about her just yet because I'm afraid that I would lose her for good this time. I honestly haven't felt this way about anyone and want things to work out between us; but if they don't then I know I'm just going to come out and tell her how I really feel. Anyone, have any advice on what I should do or comments on the situation?

Firstly, go and buy Taking Charge of You Fertilty by Toni Weschler. This is imo the best book for deciphering atypical charts. You see, you really need to start temperature charting to see what's going on with your hormones. That will also show if you are ovulating. It is possible that you are having implantation bleeding and just had a really short surge and missed it but it could equally be you aren't ovulating properly yet or have low progesterone and that's causing this spotting.

Why is it that when you get one bad grade, your GPA plummets, and when you get a great one, it skyrockets? Newly built computer crashing (no crash message)?
This sounds like it could be an issue with the graphics driver. Since you mentioned that windows 7 did updates and the crashing was happening aftwards, it might of installed its own version of the driver for the graphics card. What I would do, is go into device manager, uninstall the driver for the graphics card, reboot, and go to the website www.asustek.com and download the latest driver for that graphics card, reboot, and see if the crashing continues. You should be able to view this information in the Event viewer in windows. Im pretty certain these type of error messages would be logged. You can get their by going to start run and type in eventvwr

93 Ford 7.3L Turbo Fueling Issues?
It is a 1993 Ford F-250 7.3L Turbo Diesel. I live about 35 miles from work, about 2 or 3 miles from work I noticed it losing power, i.e. the rpms would surge and drop when ever i gave it throttle. I pulled off and tried to rev the engine but it sputtered and died. I started it. tried to rev it, it died again. I popped the hood and hit the schrader valve on the fuel filter and got nothing but air. I did this 2 more time, on the 3rd time it fired and i was able to make it to work. On the way home it did the same thing, about 3 miles from the shed it started loosing power again, this time i kept my foot in it and got it home. It was single digits and negatives all day but it's been negative 20's and run just fine. The station I buy fuel from adds their own cetane. Maybe i got some bad fuel, I am going to put a bottle of Heet in it tomorrow. I am just wondering how i made it 30 miles with out problem.

I jerked my USB Sound Card by mistake and it fried my laptop(Seriously), how do I fix it?

Frayed electrical cords?
Can you get an electric surge from sparks from frayed cords? I was trying to fix my laptop charger as the cord was frayed. I thought the power strip was off but the kids had tuned it on the cord strip. What is an Apc battery used for?
APC is a company that makes back-up batteries. I use one at home for my computer. If the power at my house goes out, I have 30 minutes to shutdown my computer which is running off of the back-up battery.

Depends. It's true that it does look good on your transcript but your GPA is dwindling. There should be a balance between AP and regular classes. Make it so that you're taking maybe 1 AP and the rest of honors. Just some advice. Up to you really.

Favorite Maynard James Keenan album and why?
Maynard has never put out a bad album IMO, and as far as I'm concerned never will. DUI Problems - Need Advice?
Here is my problem. About four months ago I got in trouble for a DUI. I was drunk on Four Loco's, which there has been huge problems with and in same states are banned. Anyway, I was toasted and I ended up crashing my moms friends truck into a pole. No damage was done to the pole though. I was not arrested at the time because they took my blood and I've been awaiting the results. Well today those results came back in and they told my moms friend it was 1.05. I just got my first apartment, my first scooter and I just got a job as well. Which I didn't have any at the time and was living with my mother. So, I need to know what I'm looking at as far as punishment goes. Will I get jail time or probation? I know that fines are inevitable but I need to know how possible a jail sentence is. This is my first offense. Also, I've not been arrested and they just got the results today. Will I be arrested or get a summons? Also, with the scooter I just got, will they still allow me to drive it? At least to work? I've heard of the hardship license for DUI offenders but what do you think? This is my first offense, if that matters. Also, there is no way that I know of for a blow tester to be put on a scooter, so how will that work? The scooter is my only way to work, which is all the way across town and without it I wouldn't have any way to work. So, will they consider that? At the time, my life was crap, no job, no car and living at home. My life since the DUI has turned upside down and is greater then it's ever been. Will the courts take that into consideration? How much better my life is now as compared to then? So, anyone who knows or is going through/gone through what I'm going through please tell me what I'm facing here. I'm 24 with no priors too.

when using power adapters, always make sure the voltage is the same. Voltage is what will damage your hardware if it is too high. As far as Amps, anything with 1.5A or higher capacity will work. A 500A 1.5v adapter would work fine. So same for volts, equal to or greater than for amps.

Is it bad to just plug my laptop into an outlet?
my surge protector is full because i plug my blu ray player, tv, RF modulator, and more crap into it. is it dangerous to my laptop to plug it into the wall like i would a lamp or a phone charger? if the power were to go out, would it fry my laptop?

I ran from the police.... Are they still looking for me?
Exactly on week ago i was blackout drunk and crashed my car into a small tree, thankfully no one was hurt. However, because i was drunk i ran away.....here is where it gets complicated... My wife and I got into an argument back in november and the judge against my wife's and i's wishes put a no contact oder between us....no the one thing i cherish is my family, so you can imagine how we took this news. Going against court Oder's, my wife and i continued our life like nothing happen. now fast forward to the crash. I ran because i was drinking and also because they would have arrested me for being in contact with her. Later i find out that they had 24 officers and six dogs after me, but i lucked out and they never found me... since then they have showed up twice to my house looking for me....i do know that they can't prove i was driving the car when it crashed, but what im wondering is are they looking to catch my wife and i together... will they ever stop looking for me? also i checked both the county's sherrif's office and the city police to see if i had a warrant out for my arrest and they both said i didn't......should i believe them???

I do CCF (Combined Cadet Force) and Im in the army section. I've nearly done it 2 years now. I've done alot of the camps but I'm still a cadet, all my mates are getting promoted and people that are younger than me are. I've got my full APC. I'm doing some rememberance day collections next week but I'm still not promoted and I really need to finish my career at a high rank such as RSM, CSM for my hopefully future career. How long does it take for an underage drinking ticket to come in the mail?
I received a citation for underage drinking at my college in PA, and blew a 0.115 into the breathalyzer. Instead of arresting me, the cop looked at my license and told me to expect a ticket in the mail. However, it has been almost 2 weeks and nothing is in my mailbox. Why is my 1995 chevy s10 2.2 surging and stalling when accelerating from a stop?
My s10 has 2.2 w/manual transmission and 180,000 miles. Truck starts up fine and sounds like it is running well until it reaches operating temperature then the RPM's start surging and it starts missing. If I try to accelerate when this is happening it will bog down and stall. I can get it to go If I press the gas pedal very slowly until it reaches higher RPM (4000) and drop the clutch. The surging may stop and the truck returns to normal then it starts surging again.If it stalls it will start right back up if I put the gas pedal to the floor when starting it.check engine light is ON but my OBD-2 reader powers up but fails to clear or read the codes when I plug it up to the truck.I changed the spark plugs and they seemed wet with gas but no excessive soot or gray . A new fuel tank,fuel filter and sending unit were installed 6 months ago.I thought it could be the EGR valve so I replaced it but problem persists.I checked for vacuum leaks with propane and do not hear any . Cat is not plugged. Could this be coil packs, MAF ,TPS, CPS, timing chain? I plan on doing a compression test tomorrow, if anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

So I thought I had missed my ovulation window so I stopped using my ovulation tests. I started having mittelschmerz yesterday morning and it just got worse throughout the day and I didn't think twice about it...so it's about 6pm and its the worst of that day and my husband said to take an ovulation test. So for the heck of it I did and its a smiley face!!!! So we BD a half hour later. I also used PreSeed which I heard can be useful in getting pregnant since it mimics CM. I still had mittelschmerz throughtout the evening but not nearly as bad as it was and this morning I took another ovulation test to see if I still had a LH Surge and it was negative and I feel tender around my abdomen but really nothing that bad...just maybe a twinge? Can conception still have occured if I was a few hours away from ovulation? I know the ovulation test I used (ClearBlue Easy Digital) said that when you have a positive, it means you'll be ovulating in 24-36 hours. I just want to know if we could have concieved or if I was too close to ovulation for anything to occur.

Can I use 200 Ah (100 Ah X 2) battery on my 'APC Smurt UPS 1400 Va' for long time backup?

What do i need to prevent my laptop from randomly dying?
I have a Gateway p-7811fx gaming laptop. and its been working quite well, besides when i play the newerr games, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops. If I play on all high settings, it will let me play for about 15 minutes before i notice that my laptop charger stops getting electricity. then after that my laptop will just shut off. and the charger doesnt recieve electricity until i unplug, then plug it back in. I dont know if i need a surge protector, or what. And i know its not my drivers. i have a clean install of windows 7 ultimate 32 bit, with all latest drivers. I have heard the same snippets of the story from 3 other people, all of which contained the same theme of the nerdy guy suddenly 'snapping' and killing a random person in that manner. There were no other known reasons why this man did what he did. This was also apparently on the news. But I'm not sure if it is true or not. If anyone could give me some input/reasons on this I'd appreciate it, I can't find the story on Google, either.

ok anyone can answer, but im trying to find new bands that have the same passion and intelligence as tool/apc/puscifer/maynard....... i dont like crazy hardcore rock where you cant hear the vocals either, and/or the lyrics are mindless, i need some substance, with an equal amount of passion. any suggestions would be appreciated, especially if they are good ones. i know this is lame, but my other favorite well known bands are NIN, radiohead, the decemberists, i still like incubus, sage francis is my favorite rapper, and i still absolutely love wutang and a little nas here and there. i dont listen to hip hop very much anymore though.

Would you agree with this about weight loss and people trying to lose weight?
I think people who continually fail at losing weight are looking for something that doesn't exist. They are looking for, and waiting for, a surge of mental strength and self motivation to appear out of the blue, and they think thats when their lives will change and they will lose weight. They look at people who exercise regularly and often think they have something mentally that they themselves don't. And when in reality all people who do live a healthy lifestyle, and are mentally strong, have simply realized what is really inside them. What they have that overweight and obese people (who are trying to lose weight) don't is a deep understanding of their potential. And the reason these heavy people dont have that understanding is because they have never proven it to themselves. Everything they are looking and waiting for is already in them, it just needs to be awoken. If they would just get up off of their *** and do it, they will begin to understand that potential within them.

Why did oversight committees investigate Kermit Gosnell?
I don't have an answer to your questions, but to the first guy who answered, that is seriously flawed reasoning and would of course reveal negligence on the part of these committees whose job it was to ensure the safety of the women, not to give the doctor a benefit of the doubt because of an incident halfway across the nation, especially two years ago when a woman under his care died under questionable circumstances.

Hi, I was wondering if my apc back-ups xs 1000 unit have ground fault circuit interrupter(gfci) built in or that i would have to buy one. I ask because i live in an old apartment building with no ground on its oulet. I want to protect my computer from surges or other danger that might damage my equipments.

I have a beagles whos ears are prone to ear wax build up because of his breed. The vet told me that instead of using a ear cleaning/ drying solution from the pet store to use a vinegar/ water solution and his ears stay much cleaner now. I love vinegar :)

I've seen some selvage jeans at Urban Outfitters and Gap selling for around $78-$88. I'm wondering if there's a big difference between these jeans and designer jeans like APC or Naked and Famous. I'm also looking for jeans that don't have a crazy design on the back pocket (True Religion, etc.)

APC Uninterruptible Power Supply?
The difference would only be based on the "draw" and your right the 650 SHOULD supply power longer than the 550. Time is irrelevant until you know exactly how much 'draw" each will have for how long. Obviously either on a 20W draw would last longer than either on a 300W draw. It would be safe to say the 650 would give power longer than the 550...IF...the draw was exactly the same. What they tested the two at would be the reason for the difference in time
I'm going away to college and my relationship with my mother is going bad...?
I will be 18 years old next week. I have never been very close with my father. It used to really bother me that we never get along but in the past few years I have begun to except it and have decided to work that much harder on being close with my mother. But lately my mother complains about me all the time and acts like I never do anything right. When I try to help out with something like washing dishes or doing laundry or cooking, instead of thanking me she just complains about the way I did it. All through dinner she complains about her job or how no one helps her with anything, which isn't true. This morning I slept a little late for school and she yelled at me more than she ever had before. I was still on time for school, but said some things that really hurt me, like "I can't believe you turned out this way" and "you're lucky this door is locked or I would hit you". Things that I tried to brush off but actually bothered me. She threatened to not help me get college loans, saying that I don't deserve it. But I can honestly say that I am a smart, respectful, mature high school senior and I don't give my parents hardly any trouble. I don't do drugs, I don't have "bad" friends, I haven't been arrested, I get good grades, and I hardly ever complain. My mom seems to think that taking care of me is such a chore and I really don't think she realizes how easy she has it compared other parents with trouble-maker teens. Part of me wants just ignore all the negative things she says and move on, but part of me really wants to patch things up since my relationship with my dad isn't good. Also, I really need them in order to go to college and move out which is only 6 months from now and I don't want them to feel used. What should I do?
Has anyone used ovulation testing kits and been successful getting pregnant when having PCOS?
Hi I am 30 year old we have been TTC for nearly 2 and half years. We went to see a specialist and i was advised that i appeared to have PCOS!! and theY will help us when i get my weight down to a health BMI.So i have worked hard and come down nearly 3 stone. I am just there now and we are going to go back to the clinic. But we wanted to try again using Clear blue ovulation kits. I know they say they may not work with women with PCOS but my symptoms are very small mainly just over weight that was all.So we started back using them.I have a regular period every 27-28 days the odd occasion maybe once a year a 30 day.This month i tested with OPK and got a positive surge on day 10.! we had intercourse day 10, I tested day 11 and got a positive so we had intercourse11, 12 ,just to give us the best chance .I tested day13 also there was no surge detected but we had intercourse just to be sure!!! Has anyone had this situation and got pregnant ??

I never had an IUD but I do know that they very likely will throw your cycles off> It can take up to 3 to 6 cycles to regulate yourself. Your hormones need to re-balance I would give yourself atleast 2 cycles.

Woman Please help and answer my question i'm so confused?
My last full period was January 4th, I have a short Luteal Phase I ovulated January 28th I used OPK and detected LH Surge. On February 6th still no period. I took a few test and I got 3 very light Positive test. I was sure this was my month .February 7th I started spotting, just enough to notice when I wiped. February 8th it picked up no clotts just a little more red blood. Enough to use a pad but only really needed one all day. The 9th it stopped, the 10th it started Brown spotting and 11th and today still barely spotting but is light and brown blood sorry TMI. IT is the 12th of February and my hips are out of place hurt like hell, which happened with both my pregnancy, my dr said it happened because at the first sight of pregnancy your body starts preparing for delivery well I Have a hip desease and my hips cant handle pregnancy or delivery. My breast still hurt, nausea off and on, I keep having this weird twitch in my uterus, test are negative, I know with short luteal you can get pregnant but your body says it's period time and it flushes the baby away. I'm wondering if any woman have had a short luteal got pregnant your body pushed your period on but you still ended up pregnant? I don't know what to think and just am looking for answers, me and my fiance have been trying for number 3 for a year. We have an app for fertility on tuesday and I am taking b6 vitamin right now. please no mean answers.
